Hey, fellow Aquilans!
Welcome to this type of guide which includes recommended pet stats for your wizards. In this guide, we will focus on both PvE and PvP systems:
Starting off with PvE ( Player vs. Enemies ) pet stats your wizard needs:
For each school, I recommend you damage based pets once you want to go on the offensive. Critical doesn’t matter at all as it is stated in the latest Fall Update 2020.
Definitely look forward to Aura pets, as they give you a +25% boost towards your school’s damage.
Examples of damage based pets for PvE:
Example of Aura pets for PvE:
For the ones who prefer to play more defensive, you can use resist based pets.
Any type of aura spells on pets such as Fortify or Brace may help you in PvE combats to encounter bosses, who pierce a lot.
Examples of resist based pets for PvE:
I recommend this pet for schools such as Life or Death, who prefer playing more supportive and more tanky in the PvE section.
This pet is also recommended for those who want to play more tanky and supportive for specific minion/boss elements.
Another good example for tanky and supportive wizards to cover up a few more wards from different schools not mentioned before.
Once you think like: ‘‘tanking is absolutely not mine’’ don’t worry!
I got a last category of recommended pet stats for you: Healing Pets.
In a PvE combat between a few opponents and more than 1 wizard, healing pets are quite useful ( especially when they include spells such as Unicorn or Pigsie ).
Examples of Healing Pets for PvE:
This pet includes outgoing talents and Maycast Pigsie. This pet is exclusively for wizards who want to focus on Healing.
Lastly we got the PvP ( Player vs. Player ) section as it has a huge impact on wizard101:
For each school, I recommend you to play quite offensive, so Aura pets are recommended, since PvP matches are limited to 30 minutes.
They give you a +25% boost towards your school’s damage.
Examples of Aura pets for PvP:
This pet includes Fire-Giver instead of Pain-Giver but Pain-Giver is preferable, as you can add a Fire-Giver jewel afterwards.
You can either add a Balance-Giver or a Dragonlance jewel on this pet.
To make this pet look stronger, add a Brace jewel on it as it may help you in PvP combats to tank, once you get it.
Instead of Storm-Giver, try to go for Pain-Giver, as you can add the Storm-Giver jewel on the pet.
Once this pet gets Spell-Proof at mega it would be a good example for life wizards at PvP.
Affixing a Brace jewel will be a very good example for a life wizard to PvP with. ( It would be an extra for your Life wizard, you can train it to ultra and add a ward for a school of your choice, it is possible too ).
For those who would like to tank a bit more and do damage at the same time, don’t worry, I got you there!
You can easily create pets with certain wards you want to encounter in specific schools.
Examples of Damage pets including wards:
I recommend this pet because you encounter a lot of fire wizards with it. Due to the new Karamelle updates, fire can get to 9,000 HP, which is insane, ( once you relatively compare it to ice wizards ).
Fire wizards still do a lot of damage with spells such as S’more Machine.
This Fire-Ward helped me so much in PvP and got me a lot of rank.
Try to replace the Death-Ward with either Pain-Giver or another school you specifically want to protect against ( I recommend you Storm-Ward because Ice lost their Ice-Bird TC or Myth-Ward, as Myth wizards benefit from the PvP system quite much ).
