DROP LOCATION: Cowl Of Undying Malistare can ONLY be obtained by Malistare the Undying (Shadow) which is the final boss in the last dungeon of Darkmoor
This is the only hat for life that offers resist with great damage at the same time. There is a good amount of health, power pip chance, shadow pip rating, and pierce. The resist helps a ton by ensuring you don't die easily. Unlike the Dragoons Vibrant Helm which provides no resist at all but a bit more damage, that would be considered more for an offensive build. In this case, were trying to go for the most best stats while keeping everything balanced.
ALTERNATIVE(S): Darkmoor Vibrant Helm (More Offensive Type)
Dragoon's Vibrant Armor is a must for a school like life. There are no better alternatives for this, you can try the Motorists Overcoat but that is nowhere near as effective or better than the Dragoon's Vibrant Armor. The robe offers an immense amount of health, great shadow pip rating as well as resist and power pip. It even gives 2% pierce and 15% outgoing which other robes don't give and is really good for life school since it heals a lot. In addition, it offers 2 Renew item cards which give +30% outgoing for the next 4 rounds. You also get that extra 3% accuracy which always helps. The main stats that shine in this robe are health and resist.

Dragoon's Vibrant boots are a must have. There are no great or better boots than the Dragoon's Vibrant boots. It offers a ton of health, a decent amount of shadow pip rating, and power pip chance rating, a lot of damage (+30) and 14 resist with 6 outgoing. It provides 2 great cards, 1 Sharpened Blade and 1 Potent trap. These 2 cards are very useful for Detrius farming when you need to get your alchemical to craft your Dragoon set.

Unfortunately, I had terrible luck when it came to getting the Executive Survival Meter which is the wand you should really get. The Celestial Xenon Axe is not bad at all, it's been really good especially with the maycast. It comes in handy in the most vital moments. That is the main difference between the other two wands, the Xenon Axe has 1 less damage, 5 less shadow pip rating and 1 more pierce than the Executive Survival Meter. The Merry Wrapping Paper is also good if you can't get the Celestial Xenon Axe or Executive wand. Merry Wrapping paper provides the same amount of damage, 1 more pierce, +260 pip conversion, and same shadow pip rating. Initially you will lose 63% critical for 260% pip conversion if you choose the Merry Wrapping Paper over the Executive Survival Meter.

DROP LOCATION: Uber Sweetsmith Knife can be obtained by

You could use the Dragoon's Vibrant Dagger but it gives 129 less
health and 2 less damage. Keep in mind, the damage is really essential
since we're keeping it a little bit more on the defensive side. We
don't have a ton of resist and low damage, we want to balance it as much
as we can. You lose 2% outgoing healing in the process but that's
completely fine because you gain more benefit from the damage and
health. This is an obvious choice, but of course, if you still wish to
use the Dragoon's Vibrant Dagger then feel free to.

DROP LOCATION: Dragoon's Vibrant Charm can ONLY be obtained by Zasha EmberForge in the Catacombs (Crafting)
The Dragoons Vibrant Charm gives 2 Spinysaur cards which are really amazing especially when they're only 4 pips for about 600 damage. Helps a ton with taking out minions and also dealing a bit of damage to the opposing player. This can be followed up with some big hits and help apply a ton of pressure on your opponent. The Uber Sweetsmith Rope (Alternative) has better stats but doesn't have the Spinysaur cards. The best part is you get 2 of the Spinysaur, not just one.

DROP LOCATION: Gold Key Boss: Aphrodite in the last dungeon of Darkmoor (When you first enter turn left up a little and you will see the gate)
Ring of the Usurper is a MUST have when it comes to life pvp. There is no better ring than this in the current meta. It is the only ring for each school that provides 2 pierce sockets which is crucial because you need that 12% pierce instead of 6%. The drop rate is pretty low so you will have to really grind for the ring unless you're extremely lucky. You don't gain a lot of health but you do receive a lot of power pip chance and a 12 ingoing and outgoing healing which is really cool.

➣ Main - Kookaburra which can be obtained through hatching or the quest " Every Initiate Has Its Thorn " (Level 118 required) ➣ Secondary - Fern Lumi which can only be obtained through hatching
The Fern Lumi should be the main pet but due to my fail talents and lack of mega snacks, I went with the Kookaburra which didn't fail. The talents you want are 11% life bringer, 7% life giver or pain giver, 11% resist, mighty, pierce, and a socket with brace. If you don't have brace then you can go for double damage and double resist with pierce and mighty socket. You can also go with the talents I'm using on Kookaburra, its been working perfectly fine in pvp and pve.

DROP LOCATION: Life Ghulture Mount can ONLY be obtained from the Ghulture hoard pack
As discussed before damage with the a defensive set is really low so we want to balance it as much as possible so the damage is not extremely low or resist is not too high. However, if you don't have the life ghulture mount then try to get any damage or pierce mount. Any mount with some sort of talent is really helpful, its better than a mount with no talent.
ALTERNATIVE(S): None
In my opinion, Tatyana's Deck Of Salvation is a must have. You could use the Uber Sweetsmith Box or even the Duelist's Devil-May-Care Deck but you don't receive that 10 max life copies which is unique and more vital than you think it is. You're able to put in more bubbles, luminous weaves, and so much more because of the 10 max life copies. You still get a triangle socket and I recommend putting a 13% accuracy on it. I didn't have one so I socketed a 6% as shown in the image.

The vital point to always keep in mind is what type of build
you're looking for. If you want to go for a full offensive build then
you wouldn't be using the Cowl of Undying Malistare Hat instead, you
would use the Dragoon's Vibrant Helmet. This entire guide is to balance
the stats out as much as possible. Life is almost nearly as op as ice
if played correctly, having a ton of health, damage, resist, and a
decent amount of pierce.
