Simon the Sayer

In today's blog we show you all the information you need to know about Simon The Sayer.

(Made by Tara)

Simon the Sayer is a very special boss. He was developed by Daniel who visited KingsIsle through the make-a-wish foundation. Daniel designed the boss with unique cheats and drops. This Boss is designed for Wizards around level 80+.

Simon the Sayer is found in the Dungeon
Sunken City in Wizard City. Once you enter the dungeon you turn left to find a locked door. Keep in mind you will require to use a Stone Skeleton Key in order to fight this boss.

Once you have entered the House a dialogue takes place.

Once the Dialogue finishes Simon the Sayer (Rank 12 Storm Boss) and 2 Minions (Virulent Gas Golem + Heartburner Golem) appear. Don’t forget Simon has a pet named Polterpooch which will be active in battle.

Just like most skeleton key bosses this one comes with some cheats as well. However if you heard of the game ‘Simon Says’ they won’t be too difficult.

Tardiness will not be tolerated!

If a Wizard joins the duel after the second round Simon will cast Mana Burn dealing 400 balance damage on the wizard.

Within the first 3 Rounds any hits directed at Simon or his Minions will be retaliated.

Simon didn’t say!

If an attack is being casted in the ‘No Attack Cycle’ Simon will cheat cast insane bolt on the wizard who attacked. This insane bolt will always hit the wizard.

On Round 4 to 6 you may attack without any consequences. Keep in mind the ‘No Attack Cycle’ will repeat starting on Round 7.

  • At the beginning of Round 2 Simon will either summon a Heartburner Golem or a Gas Golem Minion.
  • If any Minion is defeated before Simon he will call another Minion 2 Rounds after they are defeated.
  • If multiple Minions are defeated before Simon he will cheat cast one at a time every 2 Rounds.

If a Wizard casts a blade Simon will cheat cast Disarm to remove it.

My pet knows tricks too!

If a Wizard casts a prism or a shield the pet of Simon will cheat cast Feint on the Wizard.

Daniel’s Support

  • On Round 3 Daniel and randomly after Daniel will cast Curse (30%) on Simon.
  • After Round 3 Daniel will randomly cast Fairy on all Wizards that also applies a Guidance.

Depending on your team try to have one hitter
since blades aren’t a option try to trap
if possible kill all at once with an AoE
if you do not have an AoE focus on Simon first
pay close attention to the cycle if you hit within the ‘No Attack Cycle’ there will be serious consequences

You do not need any specific schools in this battle; any hitter will do the work.

Defeating Simon the Sayer also grants the Simon’s Bane Badge

Simon the Sayer is a very fun boss due to his cheats. If you're looking for a unique wand stitch he is perfect for you. Also if you ever hoped for a pet dog this is definitely your place to farm. His dropped pet Polterpooch is unique and can’t be obtained through hatching.
